The National Championships for 2019 begin today in Grand Island, Nebraska.
We have four Larimer County 4-H members competing:

The deadline for uploading Hunter Safety Cards to 4HOnline is July 1. Hunter safety is required to be eligible for the state shoot. (Once uploaded, you don’t have to update your card each year. It stays with your 4HOnline profile.)
There are still a few options to complete the course, including traditional courses in a classroom setting. You can find options here:

You are invited to attend the Shooting Sports Project and Record Book Workshops to help prepare you for County Fair. We encourage you to attend if you are new to 4-H shooting sports, do not have a shooting sports project leader in your club, or would like to kickstart your preparation for the Fair.
Our goal is to make sure you know how to complete your record book, to understand project boards and stand-alone projects, and what to expect on Interview Day.

Here are the details:
June 19, 6:00 p.m. at the McKee Building in the Estes Park Room: We’ll be going through the eRecord book page by page to understand how to fill it out, go through guidelines for project boards and stand-alone projects. There will also be an assortment of older members’ project boards and stand-alone projects to examine. If you have started your record book, bring that for review and help.
July 17, 6:00 p.m. at the McKee Building in the Estes Park Room: Bring your in-progress record books (or computers) and project boards (with supplies) for a hands-on work night. Get them polished and ready to turn in at Fair! We'll also talk about Interview Judging Day!

It's time to get registered for the .22 Rifle County Shoot. This year’s shoot will be on July 20 at Clausen’s Ranch. Before you register, here are some things to know:
Hunter Safety Deadline
If you haven't already done so, get your hunter safety card uploaded to 4HOnline by July 1. This only has to be done once. The system will save it for the future.
County Shoot Registration Deadline
County shoot registration will close on July 7.
Practices
Members must have 4 practices to be eligible for county shoot. Even if you have not quite reached your 4 required practices, go ahead and register. It is easier to remove a member later (if needed) than to add one in.
Rifle Classes
You need to know what class(es) your member is shooting. Refer to your orientation packet, view the classes under Equipment on the .22 Rifle page, or talk to us at practice for guidelines.
Arrival Times
Members need to be at the range at least 30 minutes before their relay time to do check in, get ready, and sometimes we actually run a bit ahead of time.
Our first relay begins at 8 a.m. The last relay begins at 11 a.m. If needed we will add a 12 p.m. relay.
Set-Up
Set-up will begin at 6:45 a.m. Leaders always appreciate help as we have much more to set up for county shoot than for a regular practice.
Awards
Awards will be announced after the .22 Rifle and Muzzleloading relays are done, scores are tabulated, and the range has been torn down.
Potluck
A grill master is needed to bring their grill and cook hotdogs and hamburgers (provided) to feed our hungry families. A SignUpGenius for the potluck will be sent out in early July.

An additional Shotgun practice has been scheduled for Saturday, June 15 from 9:00–11:00 a.m. at Great Guns. This is due to so many practices being canceled because of weather.

The deadline for Fair Entry Forms to be returned to the address on the form is Monday, July 15.

Hunter safety is NOT required to take part in county shoot. But it IS required to be eligible for State.
Hunter safety cards must be uploaded to 4HOnline by July 1, 2019.
(Note: If you uploaded your hunter safety card last year, you do NOT have to do it again.)
Instructions for Uploading Hunter Safety Card
You will need a scan or photo of the hunter safety card. 4HOnline can be difficult to access on a phone, so a tablet, laptop, or desktop is recommended.
Log in to 4HOnline for your family, locate the 4-H member, and click the “Edit” button. Go to the second information screen for your 4-H member. Scroll down to the section labeled “Certification ID Information.” There is a box to enter the hunter safety card number and the date the card was earned. There is also a box to upload the card.
