Shooting Sports Program Awarding Pins

Shooting Sports Pins 2019.jpg

This year, we will not be distributing the medals that we have used the past few years in the Shooting Sports program. Pins designed by 4-H members in Larimer County will be awarded to all members who participate in a county shoot, and qualifiers for the state competition will also receive a special pin that designates them as being a part of the state team. Pins can be displayed by attaching them to shooting vests, gun cases, bow cases, quivers, hats, or whatever you would like.

To save on funds, blue ribbons will not be handed out. The top six shooters in each discipline/class will receive a ribbon with their placing. The Champion and Reserve Champion winners will receive that ribbon as well. (We will have a few blue ribbons available if you want one.)

All members who qualify for the county shoot and compete will receive a Blue designation for fair premiums, local newspaper reports, and such. Members who take part in the County Shoot but do not have enough practices will receive a Red designation.

The new pins are paid for by the Larimer County 4-H Foundation. The ribbons are paid by the Larimer County Fair Budget.
