.22 Rifle Final Info about County Shoot
Here's our final announcement with information for County Shoot on Saturday, July 14.
Hunter Safety Cards
Thank you to everyone who answered Sam’s calls and requests about Hunter Safety Card uploads.
Setup
Setup begins at 7:30 a.m.
We're going to be tenting the entire shooting line this year to keep our kids cooler. (Thank you, Dave, for thinking of this!) We will need lots of hands to help set-up up these tents, along with tents for the range officers and check-in station.
Parking
Please do not park on the far side of the shed first thing in the morning. Jackie and Jim Easthouse will be bringing their motor home to act as our scoring shed, and we want to get that in before having cars parked there.
Check In
Please check in at least 30 minutes before your first relay time. At check in we will ask you whether you will be available for state shoot. The dates for .22 Rifle are August 18 for Seniors and August 19 for Juniors. Please be prepared to let us know if you will be available because we have to get state teams finalized before county fair check-in day.
Lunch Potluck
The Grundy family will be bringing their grill (Thank you, Grundys!) and we'll be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers. Please bring sides and desserts to share. Make sure each item you bring will serve at least 12 people. Also bring your own drinks (no alcohol) for the day. We'll crank up the grill around 12:00 and plan on starting to eat around 12:30 p.m.
Things to Bring for the Day
- Pop-ups and chairs: Tent city will be in front of the scoring shed (otherwise known as the Easthouse's motorhome.)
- Water, water, and more water.
- Sunblock and bug spray.
- Activities for siblings.
- Snacks for shooters.
- Food for potluck.
- Did I mention water?
Any questions? Please contact Sam.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday!
